Welcome to the Center of Coloproctology Frankfurt

The Center of Coloproctology Frankfurt is a surgical service offering diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus.

The three surgeons -	Prof. Dr. med. Edgar Hancke,
	Dr. med. Katrin Suchan and
	Dr. med. Knut Völke
are specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal and anal diseases.

We offer daily outpatient appointments as well as in-patient hospital service providing all necessary examinations, procedures and facilities as outlined below:

Procto-Rectoscopy
Colonoscopy (in sedation or general anesthesia)
Pelvic Floor Assessment
Ambulatory treatment of hemorrhoids
- Sclerotherapy
- Rubber band ligation
Surgical procedures – outpatient and inpatient hospital stay
- Hemorrhoidectomy, anal fissurectomy and anoplasty, anal fistula surgery and various other anorectal procedures
- Colonoscopy with endoscopic polypectomy and mucosal resections
- Colorectal surgery for diverticulosis and colorectal tumors
Ultrasound, X-Ray, Colonic enema, Computed tomography, Magnetic Resonance Tomography, Defecography
(in collaboration with the Department of Radiology)
Preoperative cardiovascular and pulmonary assessment
(in collaboration with the cardiologists and pulmonologists)

The doctors of the Center of Coloproctology Frankfurt and their team participate in ongoing quality assessments and continuous education and qualification to ensure a high level of patient treatment at current standards.

We are conveniently located in the Downtown area of Frankfurt, in the doctor’s Building of the Maingau Clinic of the Red Cross. In addition to our outpatient service, this hospital offers the services of more than 60 consulting physicians and surgeons spezialized in various medical fields.
